Company Partnerships, JVs & Offsets
For foreign OEMs & institutions

A reliable Indian partner for global technology leaders.

TechPavitra is structured to be the Indian engineering, manufacturing and market-access partner of choice for foreign OEMs and research institutions pursuing opportunities in India — through defence procurement, offsets, technology transfer or civilian programmes.

Why this matters

India’s procurement landscape rewards the right local partner.

Indian defence and civilian programmes increasingly require indigenous design, indigenous content, local manufacture and meaningful technology transfer. Foreign OEMs that bring the right Indian partner early — not as a badge, but as an engineering equal — win more often, execute faster and sustain better.

We position TechPavitra to be that partner: an engineering-led, compliance-serious, indigenous-capability-first organisation that foreign OEMs and institutions can build a long-term India strategy around.

Partnership pathways

Six structured ways to work with us.

Every partnership we enter is structured to match the commercial reality of the parent opportunity. These are the pathways we are set up to run.

Pathway 01

Joint ventures & technical collaborations

Formal JVs, technical-collaboration agreements and licensing arrangements — structured to share capability, IP and commercial upside in a way that works on both sides of the table.

Pathway 02

Manufacturing, assembly & integration in India

Indian manufacturing, assembly and integration capacity — enabling indigenous content, localisation commitments and responsive in-country delivery for Indian customers.

Pathway 03

Authorised representation & in-country agent

Representation, authorised-distributor and in-country agent arrangements — in full accordance with applicable Indian laws and defence-procurement guidelines.

Pathway 04

Defence Acquisition Procedure offsets

Structured offset-obligation delivery under the Defence Acquisition Procedure — including discharge through eligible Indian Offset Partner categories and approved avenues.

Pathway 05

Co-development with research institutions

Co-development and co-creation with Indian academic and research institutions, deep-tech start-ups and incubators — for technology-transfer and innovation-led partnerships.

Pathway 06

Make-in-India execution partner

Indigenous-content execution under the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat policies — with traceable localisation, documentation and compliance evidence built into the programme from day one.

Defence offsets

A purpose-built Indian Offset Partner.

TechPavitra is structured to act as an Indian Offset Partner for defence contracts where foreign OEMs carry offset obligations under the Defence Acquisition Procedure. We are set up to discharge those obligations through eligible avenues — engineering work, indigenous manufacture, technology transfer and approved civilian-sector programmes.

  • Avenue 01 Direct purchase of eligible products and services from Indian enterprises, executed through our manufacturing and integration capacity.
  • Avenue 02 Investment into Indian enterprises for manufacture of eligible products and provision of eligible services.
  • Avenue 03 Transfer of technology to Indian enterprises through joint ventures, co-development or technology licensing, structured to the DAP’s eligibility criteria.
  • Avenue 04 Transfer of equipment and technology to eligible Indian research, academic and DRDO-affiliated institutions for approved R&D programmes.
How a partnership begins

Seven steps from first email to first programme.

We run partnership conversations through a consistent, fast-but-serious discipline. The goal is to get to a clear go/no-go inside the first six weeks — so that neither side wastes time on a partnership that was never going to fit.

1

First contact under NDA

You send an introductory note with your product, target programme and expected timeline. We respond under mutual NDA within two working days.

Week 1
2

Scoping call

A structured 60-minute discovery with our leadership and the relevant engineering lead — to understand fit, constraints and mutual interest before we commit either side’s time further.

Week 1–2
3

Partnership shape proposal

We send a short written partnership-shape proposal — pathway, commercial model, governance model, proposed first step — for your internal review.

Week 2–3
4

Mutual alignment & MoU

A Memorandum of Understanding covering scope, exclusivity (where applicable), commercial framework and governance is agreed and signed.

Week 3–6
5

First joint engagement

A focused first engagement — a joint proposal, a pilot integration, a technology-transfer study or a manufacturing feasibility — run to a clear success criterion.

Months 2–6
6

Formalisation of the partnership

Based on the first engagement outcome, we formalise the partnership — JV, technical-collaboration agreement, licensing, offset partner designation or long-term supply agreement as appropriate.

Month 6–9
7

Programme execution & sustainment

Joint delivery on live programmes, with ongoing governance, joint-business-planning reviews and structured expansion into adjacent opportunities as the partnership matures.

Month 9+
Who we partner with

Four kinds of partners we are built to work alongside.

I

Foreign Original Equipment Manufacturers

International OEMs in defence, aerospace, dual-use technology and critical civilian infrastructure — pursuing Indian tenders, offset obligations or long-term India operations.

II

Indian primes & DPSUs

Indian prime contractors, Defence Public Sector Undertakings and strategic partners — as a specialist sub-contractor or technology-integration partner inside their programmes.

III

Academic, research & deep-tech institutions

Indian and international academic and research institutions, incubators and deep-tech start-ups — for co-development, technology-transfer and commercialisation partnerships.

IV

Government bodies & multilateral agencies

Central and State Government bodies and multilateral agencies — where the partnership is with a public-sector customer running a technology-intensive programme.

Begin a conversation

One short email is all we need to get started.

Write to us with a short note covering your product or capability, the target programme or opportunity in India, your expected timeline, and — if the conversation is offset-related — the parent contract and expected offset quantum.

We will respond under mutual NDA within two working days, and set up a structured scoping call with our leadership and the relevant engineering lead.
